| Hubby's Father's Day goodies! I set it out like Santa had been there, haha! |
We had a great Father's Day. We started out by having a big breakfast with my Hubby's dad. I made biscuits, gravy with saugsage chunks, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and hash browns! It was delish (and I am sure I ate way more than I should have, ha!). Brax had a great time with Grandpa and Gamma. I forgot to get the camera out during breakfast =(
Our original plan was to go fishing. That is all that hubby has talked about doing so I was going to be sure to make that happen, BUT we woke up to tropical storm force winds (ok so that is a bit of an exaggeration) but they were very strong and would not make for good fishing so we opted to stay home and hang out as a family doing nothing! When I say nothing, I mean nothing... no laundry, no cleaning, NOTHING! It was a great great day and much needed relaxing day for all of us! We did get out and go get Daddy's car washed and then ran to the store for a couple of items for dinner, but that was about it.
That evening, I made pork chops for my dad and maccaroni salad, my sister brought grilled corn, which was the most amazing grilled corn I had ever tasted, and a salad, and my step mom brough some fruit and berry crumble (which reminds me I need to get the recipe for this) We enjoyed dinner a lot too and had a great time!
I am so thankful for the wonderful father's in my life and for my husband who is a wonderful father to our precious little one.
