14 weeks.... FINALLY out of the first trimester!

Today marks my 14th week of pregnancy. My app on my phone says that this is my 98th day of pregnancy!
I am posting a picture just to document my 14th week but today is one of those days where I feel like any signs of pregnancy on my stomach have disappeared OR maybe its because I am actually in maternity pants and I do not feel squished into my regular jeans HAHA

Although we are only at the 14 week mark, my husband has decided to already get the "anxiously waiting" mindset. My cousin brought her little girl over last night, who is the MOST precious little thing EVER and I really think that something clicked in hubby's mind and he has decided that he wants our baby here NOW! HAHA. And he nows thinks that we are having a girl (my gut feeling is that its a boy). He came to bed talking about our baby and he woke up this morning talking about our baby. Hmmm... I just love him! Here is a picture of him holding little Addy. Excuse his mouth, I think I caught him in mid conversation.

Today my mother-in-law is taking us to get our crib. (EDIT, we couldn't order it Sunday because the distribution warehouse was out but she is going back this week to order it) Well it might just be me and her that go because hubby is busy in there putting in the new coutertops! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this crib and can not wait to find the fabric for our bedding and get started on that! I have been through so many beddings and can not find one that is pre-made that I Just love so we are going to attempt to make it ourselves. Good thing mom knows how to sew!!!

I just love getting my weekly emails every Sunday on what big developmental changes are going on that week for our little one.....
This week our baby is able to squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck it's thumb! He or she is about the size of a lemon (3.5 inches)!

I am allowed one pregnancy freak out right?!?!

So I have to admit that I had a freak out moment yesterday and today. I am sure I am not the only "first timer" to freak out, but I kind of felt a little stupid. HAHA. I kept feeling these weird cramps Wednesday. It didn't hurt but just didn't feel right. So I called the dr. and they called me back and told me to take some Tylenol, put my feet up, and take a hot bath. Of course I was at work so the warm bath was not an option, but I did take some Tylenol and put my feet up and pray that my principal didn't come in and see me kicked back HAHA. Well the weird sensation continued so I called back and of course by the time they called me back yesterday afternoon I was ok. Well this morning I woke up and I kept getting these weird twinges of pain on my right and left side of my lower abdomen. So I called and they wanted to get me ASAP incase he wanted to do a sono. So I got my class taken care of and rushed to the doctor's office (got all the way there with my gas light on). The nurse called me back and grabbed the doppler and I proceeded to tell her that this was not for my regular visit but that I thought I was having a slight freak out. So she sweetly reassured that everything was ok and quickly got the doppler on there to reassure me even more. She turned that sucker up loud and let me just lay there and listen to our little one's heartbeat. (Side note: I could listen to that sound all day). She said everything sounded wonderful but that the doctor would be in just to feel my stomach and measure. So he came in and did his thing and said everything was great..... it was all just growing pains. WOAH, I am so relieved.

We got back in 5 weeks for our sono and check up. This will make me almost 19 weeks. This sono would normally be the one where people find out the sex of their baby, but for us it will just be us getting to see our little one again. It sure is going to be hard to say no when they ask us if we want to know, but it makes it that much more exciting for the big delivery day to come!

PS.... we found out that my sister in law and brother in law are giving us our first niece around October 5th!!!! We are so very excited for them, as well as, for the fact that our babies will get to grow up together!

Bedding..... It might be an obsession

Ok so I might have a small obsession with crib bedding.....I am kind of over the ones that I posted in an earlier post and onto others....
This one I LOVE, I would buy it today if I could. I just think it is so cute and could go for boy or girl and there is more decorative options for the room itself. MINUS THE CURTAINS IN THE PICTURE or the bright blue walls.

Although the next one is very blue, I just LOVE it, maybe it's a sign... haha

There are LOTS more that I have found, many being out of our price range but I still look. I have found LOTS of custom bedding on etsy.com that I love... I guess we will see what happens ;)

13 weeks, almost through the first trimester

We have almost made it through the first trimester! One more week and we can officially say we are into the second trimester!!!!! Things are still going great. I made it to the gym one time this week, which doesn't seem like a lot but considering I have not been since I found out I was pregnant (March 26th) I find this to be a great accomplishment. I am still so very tired at night time, most of the time not even making it until the sun goes down. This has really been my only complaint during pregnancy, but hopefully that will subside soon and I will be able to see the sun go down again. HAHA. Here is my 13 week picture. Still not much showing.....

Sorry for the poor quality, this is me taking a picture of a mirror with my phone HAHA.

Recently mom and I have been hitting up garage sales, mainly for her. We have been picking up things that she will need at her house with these two grandbabies that will be here before we know it. So far we have found: a portable crib, a brand new bouncer, an exersaucer, many many many books, and I am sure there is MUCH more I can not think about. Well today we were out and found a changing table!!!!! It was originally marked $10 but mom got them down to $8!!!! I want the babies crib and furniture to be white but I couldn't pass up this deal, so it will be painted. I have looked online at baby furniture and I think it is just too darn expensive so whatever I can find, even If I have to paint it, I will get! Here is a picture of the changing table.....

Remember it will be painted white and on there will be baskets on the shelves!

Just for Fun!

Here are some of the (neutral) beddings I have looked at and liked so far.
My favorite:

Kind of like this one but I think it might be too neutral if that makes sense:

This one's in the running too:

Although I told myself that I didn't want to do the typical neutral colors of green and yellow, I kind of like this one:

Names and a Picture

We are now 12 weeks 1 day pregnant and still feeling wonderful! I have a few food adversions but other then that things are great! My cravings have subsided some but I am still worried about my weight gain. Sometimes I look at my stomach and I just know that I surely have to be carrying more then one baby, then the next day it's all gone. My mom and I did go on our first shopping trip for maternity clothes. The day we went my stomach was really pooched out and the clothes were so comfortable, so now when I put them on they are still a tad big. Here is a picture of me at 12 weeks.... still not much of anything but the way my clothes fit definately remind me that there is a baby inside there.

A couple more things....

Since we are not finding out what our little one is, it is very easy to start looking at baby things even with me being only 12 weeks. Another thing that we can do early on is pick names!
The boy name was very easy for us: Braxton Ryan
The girl name took a few more weeks and many times of me being quiet and not voicing my opinion because the name that he loved was not one that I cared for. So I kept my mouth shut and decided that surely between now and November we could come up with another name that we both agreed on. Well, as weird as this sounds, we were driving down the freeway Satuday and there was a sticker on the back of this truck that said "Hayden's dad." At that point I quickly remembered this was a name that we had talked about long before we were even pregnant. So I said "WHAT ABOUT HAYDEN?" He replied "I told you that I liked that name a LONG time ago." So I immediately tried to start coming up with middle names. This was the hard part. He just kept saying no, no, no. At one point I said "are you just saying no, to say no?" And he said "No I just really do not like any of those." So I put out a few text and finally came up with our girl name: Hayden Christine. Thanks to Aunt Stephanie for coming up with the middle name.

Ok, well thats all I have for now. I will update again soon!

10 weeks 2 days

We went for our second OB check up today and everything was picture perfect! The dr came in and was very comforting and said that he was going to try to pick up the heartbeat but that it sometimes is not able to be heard on the dopler until 11 weeks. He told me not to worry if he had to search for it for a little bit or if he couldn't pick one up at all. So, I laid there and listened to what seemed like a bunch of fuzz then we heard it. This little, tiny amazing pulse of a heartbeat. It was so fast. I just laid there and smiled as I listened. I could listen to that all day, but he quickly put it away and went over my blood work, which was picture perfect! He asked me if I was getting sick or anything and I smiled and quickly let him know that I feel GREAT and have not thrown up at all. He said you better keep that quite or all the other pregnant ladies that are sick will be coming after you.

I will go back in 4 weeks for another routine appointment. I will continue to update and maybe post some belly pictures if anything dramatic pops up between now and then. =)
