Randomness

This post is completely random but I have a little time to update so I thought I would.

• First things first, my sweet niece was born last night!  Ava Rene made a surprise entrance one day before she was supposed to.  7lbs 8oz and cute as a button! 
• We are getting ready for Brook's first birthday, WHAT?  My heart hurts to think about how fast time is flying. 
• Brooklyn is such a little princess.  We just can't get over her cuteness and how happy she is.  She is crawling everywhere, if you can call it crawling.  It's more like a monkey walk.  She has never and I do not think will ever crawl on her knees.  She has 6 teeth, says mama, dada (her favorite word), and started telling me nana yesterday when she was eating a banana.  She sleeps though the night (it only took her 10 months to master this, haha) and only takes two bottles a day now.  She is a little petite thing and can still wear more of her nine month clothes.  She loves her brother and has nothing to do with her own toys. 
• Braxton is such a ham.  I am really pleased with his language progression.  I have always worried about it since he was little.  At his nine month appointment he was still not even babbling and his 12 month appt he was only saying a few syllables.  I always felt like all of the other kids talked more than him (shame on me for comparing but it's hard not to) but he is "talking" a lot more now. He is still our little scientist and observes everything around him.  Everyday we talk about the same things on the way to Mrs. D's house: it's like outside, it's dark outside, the road is bumpy, red light, green go mommy etc.  He knows circle, square, rectangle, traiangle, oval and knows all of his colors.    He is quite the strong willed child but we are working on that and most of the time our presistance pays off. 
• School- 27 more days, need I say more? 
• I am starting my masters this summer.  I have debated for over a year because I do not want to always stay in the classroom but I was too scared of the work load etc with two young babies.  So, I feel like the time is right and I will be doing an 18 month online degree in school counseling.  I am excited!

As You Can Tell

I never have time to blog anymore!  Life is crazy busy and I am doing good just to get the clothes washed each week.  Not sure how momma's with more than two kids even keep up :) I do still read everyone's blog but the only time I can do that is during my planning period at school, I use my time wisely, ha!  I will leave you with two cute pictures from Easter!

Life Lately

Life lately has been amazing!  I thank the Lord for the life that He has blessed me with.  Sure, it has bad days/times but there is something good in everyday (I saw this quote on Pinterest).
Life is crazy. 
We are coming up on STAAR season which makes my shoulders and neck tense just thinking about it.
Having two kids is busy.  I commend all of the momma's that have more than two.
From the time I wake up until the time I go to bed I have a kid, whether it be my own or a student, needing my attention. 
My babies, sigh, are so stinking cute and such a blessing in everyway, even on their most fussy and tantrum filled days, they are cute.  We (hubby and I) think that we have two of the most beautiful and sweet little ones. 
Running.  I'm still at it.  On good days I run 2.5-3 miles and it feels amazing! (Never, ever thought I would say that).
My hubby, goodness I love him. 
Dear friends.  Love having good girlfriends to be goofy/girly with.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

• I LOVE cooking dinner for my family every night.  Last night as I was making homemade "skinnied up" tostadas I was thinking about how much I love to cook and how I love that 95% of our meals are homemade.  I love that we sit down as a family at the dinner table, every night, and eat dinner together. 
• I love the time that Brook and I have during the night.  Yes, she is almost 8 months old and still wakes up 99% of nights but as I held her and looked at her last night (as she she was wide awake), my heart just melted.  Even at 3:00am, a big smile from my sweet girl makes it all worth it.  I was the same way with Braxton and rarely asked my hubby to get up because I enjoy this time that I get with my babies. 
• Braxton's love for his sister is another favorite.  Braxton is such a sweet and kind spirited little boy and his voice is just so sweet.  Last night as we were playing in his room, Brook started fussing and he went over to her and said "ok, sissy" "ok, sissy." (It's ok sissy) and during the same play time he decided that we needed to dance so we put some music on and the first person he went to was Brook.  So, I held her in the standing position and he took both of her hands and danced with her for a very long time (my arms might have been burning, haha).
• My nightly cuddles with my little man.  This is something that we literally do EVERY night.  He gets up beside me on the couch or I get beside him and he just nudges and squirms until he finds the most comfortable spot. 

The End of One Year and the Beginning of Another

2012 has come to an end, what an amazing year it was!  I can't wait to see what 2013 holds for us. 

I had the urge to write a post but have lost all motivation now... BOO!  I will write soon.
