Haven't updated in a while

Snow day fun with his two cousins!  I am sure you could guess that it was really hard getting three babies to all look in the right direction.
Madelyn was the only one ready!

Ooops, Brax lost head control

Poor Madelyn!

Just thought that I would update since I have not written in a while.  I am back at work now and things have changed just a little bit.  My first day back at work was Monday, January 31st.  This was a normal day, normal schedule, etc and then we woke up Tuesday to an ice storm.  Now this was a normal Texas ice storm until Wednesday night (I think it was Wednesday maybe Thursday) when it snowed.... A LOT, ok so it was a lot for Texas!  The weather was so bad that most all of the schools would go ahead and make the announcement that they were closed the night before they actually were.  So needless to say, my first week back ended up being a one day work week with a TON of cabin fever!  So, the following Monday, February 7th, I started over.. HAHA.  I only thought that it was going to be a full week until Tuesday night when there was more ice supposed to sprinkle North Texas.  Again we were closed.  So.... my first two weeks back I got to ease into things, which was nice and gave me LOTS of extra time with Brax!

Our routines have changed a lot since I have gone back to work.  We have been cooking dinner EVERY night, which we have always tried to do but now we were being very disciplined about it, in between stirs and cutting and preparing the food there is always a diaper change here and there or a feeding or singing, reading etc.  After dinner we have play time, bottle washing, sterilizing, making the night bottle, bottles of the next day, etc THEN around 7 or 7:30 it's bath time.  Braxton still LOVES LOVES LOVES his bath... I mean absolutely loves it but still SCREAMS and shreeks when we take him out.  We have tried everything!  I honestly have come to the conclusion that he has learned to throw a fit at two months about getting out of the bath tub, haha.

I am not going to lie, going back to work was not easy at first, I cried walking up to the door of our daycare lady's house the first day I took him, but it has gotten easier.  The exhaustion on the other hand has not gotten any better.  Braxton only wakes up one time night, which really is not bad at all but for some reason my body is still not used to the broken sleep and getting up early combination (usually between 4:45 and 5).  To make it clear on how tired I really am, I fell asleep at a red light yesterday and was woken up when the guy behind me honked and I opened my eyes to find that the car in front of me was nowhere to be seen.  I can giggle about this now (honestly who falls asleep at a red light!?) but I was honestly so freaked out and terrified by this.  I get up between 4:45 and 5 and I am ready to go by 530 so that I can get things packed and have breakfast before I have to get Braxton up.  I usually get him up at 6:00 to dress him and change him.  When I say "get him up" that does not mean that he actually wakes up, haha.  There have been numerous mornings that I have had to dress and change him while he was sleeping.  This morning he was awake and ALL smiles, which started my day off GREAT!!! Although I might be exhausted I can truly say I would not change a thing, I love my life just the way it is!

Ok enough of me rambling.. I will update for his 3 month birthday soon... although he does not have one since he was born on the 30th!

I remember that with Allie - no birthdays for a few months because she was a "30th" baby, too!
