It is so hard for me to believe that two months ago today I had been contracting for three days already and we were finally about to meet our "mystery" baby. Everyone tells you that time flies but little do you know that it literally does. Last night as I was doing laundry at almost ten (yes, on a Saturday night) I was trying to remember what it was like before we had Braxton and I honestly can not remember. Our new "norm" is everything Braxton. Bottles, diapers, straightening the house, changing his clothes, baby baths, countless loads of laundry, sanitizing bottles, emptying the diaper champ, etc. Some days we feel like the chores will never end but we wouldn't trade it for the world. This month has been GREAT! He is growing out of the "newborn" baby and developing into a baby (not sure that makes sense). He is so responsive now. Smiles at us ALL the time and is talking soo much. He can hold his head up for a little bit but he is still wobbley. We are still working on tummy time. He does not mind it much and will lay there for about five minutes at a time. He has still not mastered holding his head up during tummy time so half of the time he is licking the mat (not sure why he does this) or rubbing is face on it as he lays there. He still loves bath time, but has developed a HUGE dislike for when bath time is over. We are not sure where this came from, he just starts screaming when we would take him out. This is screaming is like we have never heard before. Afterwards he even sounds hoarse. We have a heater in our bathroom and it gets stinking HOT in there so I really do not think that he is cold when he gets out...we don't know what it is. Friday night when I took him out I swaddled him up in his adorable hooded towel and took him to his changing table and he was perfect! He sat there and talked to me and smiled at me the whole time, so I think that is what we are going to have to do from now on. He is still taking five ounces and is still very satisfied. There have been a couple of times that we thought he still acted hungry but if we give him more than five he spits it up, even after being burped.... so we will stick with five for now. He is still getting up at least one time during the night, ususally during the 2,3,or 4 o'clock hour. We have discovered that he is not much of a cuddle bug. Sometimes we just want to hold him or someone else does, and he will be crying but nothing is wrong. Well.... we have learned that if you just put him down he is usually just fine. I started reading to him and it is so cute to watch. I make sure to read it with the pages facing out so that he can see and he will literally just sit there and scan the pages. Although I know he has no idea what is going on, it makes me smile to watch him. It makes me sad that time is flying by so fast but I know that it will just continue to get better and better as he continues to develop into a sweet little boy. Happy two month birthday baby boy, Daddy and Mommy love you to the moon and back!

Ok so this picture was not easy to get... he was soo squirmy, haha. So we might have to try to find a different way to take next months.
Thought this was cute!
